About Josh

So I guess you’re wondering who the heck is this Josh guy, right? 🙂

Well, I’m a normal person, just like you actually. A few years back, I decided to take my health a bit more seriously.

You see, I was going up the stairs at my home, huffing and puffing, and we’re talking about fifteen steps in total, so I was in a pretty bad shape.

And all of this at the age of 24, pfff…

This moment along with some other life stuff that was going on at the time, made me realize it was time for some radical changes.

But I was totally ignorant when it came to nutrition and training, didn’t know where to even start and had a million questions that needed answering.

Questions like:

  • What’s the best diet to follow?
  • How should I eat if I want to lose weight or build muscle (or both)?
  • Is counting calories important for weight loss?
  • How often should I work out?
  • Should I lift weights? And if so, how many times a week?
  • Should I do cardio? And if so, should I walk, run, bike and for how long?
  • How can I lose that dreaded belly fat?

The list went on and on…

And this is actually what this blog is all about!

To share my experience and provide you with easy to understand and practical information you can implement on your own.

Such as:

  • How to lose weight (and keep it off)
  • How to gain muscle
  • How to reach your goals while eating the foods you enjoy
  • How to incorporate this “fitness” thing in your own lifestyle and daily schedule
  • How to get that six-pack
  • How to find the time to do all of this

But why should you even care? What qualifies me to do so?

Well, it’s already been five years down the road for me and although it all started as a silly little goal of mine, this “fitness” thing has grown into a passion, a life’s purpose actually.

But let me tell you, at first, it wasn’t easy. There were lots of ups and downs, failures and setbacks.

I wasn’t seeing the results I wanted, feeling frustrated and wanted to just give up, but I was committed, so I somehow kept on going until I finally started seeing progress and light at the end of the tunnel. I eventually witnessed the transformation of my own body, going from 25% down to 10% body fat, while getting stronger and building a great physique in the process.

But that education journey took many many months of researching articles, books, podcasts, scientific literature, etc..

And this is how the idea for this blog was born, as a way to help others accelerate as much as possible, this learning curve and enable them to live a healthy, fit life (as well as get a rocking body of course 🙂 ).

However, I know there are way too many “gurus” and IG “experts” out there, so I wanted to have someone other than myself verify my knowledge.

So I decided to go for the Precision Nutrition Level 1 Certification. It’s a certification in sport and exercise nutrition I proudly received back in 2018!

Oh, and in case you’re wondering, this “fitness” thing is just a side project, not something I do for a living (at least not yet anyway).

I know what it feels like not having the time or being pulled over a hundred directions.  Life happens and it can be difficult to prioritize “fitness” when there are other more pressing matters (studying, working, starting a family) that require your attention right now.

I’m actually a solopreneur, working from home for the last few years, publishing books, selling apparel, amongst other things.

I’m also a huge Star Wars and Marvel fan, not that it has anything to do with this blog 🙂

So if you can relate to any of this, stick around and make sure to sign up for the newsletter.

Feel free to get in touch if you need help with anything, really, I’m always happy to help!

Cheers, Josh!
